hatred, cursing, and dirtylanguage. (Colossians 3:8)





Paul's words to '`cast off and throw away" the rotten garments means to put off the old self and put on the new. In this verse, Paul was appealing to the initial commitment the Colossian believers had made and was urging them to remain true to their confession of faith by putting on the new garments of love. We should also follow Paul's advice to cast off the old sinful attitudes of anger and hatred and put on the new Christlike characteristics of love and forgiveness.
