Quote - 2

If you{ let Christ be Lord in these affairs, God will be glad; and so will others. (Romans 14:18)

The apostle Paul was warning the Romans not to purposefully cause another believer to stumble in his or her faith.

Some of the weaker believers were being hurt spiritually by the personal freedom of other believers.

This remains a sensitive issue in the church today. We are to be both strong in faith and sensitive to the needs of others.

What are a few contemporary social issues that some Christians say are OK to practice while other Christians believe they are sinful?

How might the social conduct o f one believer cause another believer to stumble in his or her faith?

How have you been strengthened or edified by a fellow Christian who made a sacrifice of freedom for your sake?
