We hear a lot about the importance of healthy self-esteem.

Paul warns us, however, not to go too far in self-love.

No one should think of himself more highly than he ought.

Some people think too little of themselves; others too much.

The key to an honest and accurate evaluation is knowing the basis of our self-worth-our new identity in Christ.

Evaluating yourself by the worldly standards of success and achievement can cause you to think either too much or too little about your worth in the eyes of others and cause you to miss your true value in God's eyes.
