Last night i stayed up late to watch the results of the most disccussed Music-Contest in Europe... The European songfestvial. Good songs, bad songs and politics are all present. Its is a typical European thing. They all long to be one europe, but there is always an arguement about who's in or who's out.

Loreen a Swedish singer won the contest with a huge score... singing the song Euphoria. And with the curious mind that i have.. I wonder.. why this song? What is so special about on woman climbin and crashing to the ground constanly of a grooving house beat?
I saw one comment on YouTube saying.... "What is Euphori?a"

Well the first thing that comes to my mind is that the song is talking relationship.. (i bet is a man) and how that man gets her feeling stronger, better gives her the feeling of being loved and accepted. And true if you are really with the one you belong to you can win the world, or at least have the feeling of winning the world. It is a feeling you'll never want to miss to have into all eternity. A feeling to sail on the wings of inifity!

At first instance ther is nothing wrong with the song. It has a catchy tune and even my toes are wiggeling and in my mind I sing constanly we’re going u-u-u-u-u-up!

When I start to relax and start my grey area working… I am asking myself.. ‘we’re a going up…. To where?, What place… what goal. Well people who know me.. know that I am a Christian and enjoy gospel music. This by no means a gospel song… so Loreen is not singing about going to Heaven upon the clouds… but were is Loreen is taking us then?

Reaching for divinity! Infinity… for evermore.

Those words sounds very religious or spiritual for that matter. I love my wife, I cheriss her.. but I would never would say to here.. we are going for divinity. As a Christian I would say let’s grow, walk and talk into the image of Christ. But never I would say that I want to be as a god. No way.

The song implies indirectly that there is a grown’t to another level… a godlike level as it were… just read the lyrics again and think about the statement?

You could say… ‘Riley get a live’ not everything you hear is evil, or bad… it’s a lovely song so just enjoy euphoria

True… maybe I am reading things in the song that I shouldn’t do.

But as a Christian I should say one thing…. There should only be on thing that should get you moving…

There is only one thing that should get you euphoric…

And that is Gods Word… that is the only thing what will get you and I up.


If you want to go up… if you really want to get higher…

Follow Christ…. It is not the love with you earthly partner that will get you higher
There is no better high that accepting all God wants from us.


If you want to go higher… upon the cloud…
Say YES to Jesus and you will go u-u-u-u-u-up!
