In the mid eighties Tom and Alane found themselves absorbed in thriving medical careers and the outreach programs of their local church. Dedicated and sincere as they were, the push and pressure of life was choking out the “best in life” - time with God, each
other, and their children; until one Friday evening when they began to wake-up. It was one of those rare moments relaxing by the fireside when Tom asked, “What is the most important thing you can accomplish in this life?” Alane had just finished her Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, maybe her Master’s would be next? No, her answer was clear, “To see our precious children in the kingdom of heaven!” They both knew, despite outward appearances, that their Christianity was not working. Tom broke the silence with the solemn words, “Then something has got to change in our lives!”
The change began that night when they knelt with their children and prayed "Lord, we’re willing to go anywhere, do anything, give up anything, to hear the words ‘Well done, thou good and faithful servant’ and see the crown of life placed on the heads of our children".
What this family has experienced through Christ since that evening, has completely changed their lives, and your life can change too! As they simply share from their experience, you can learn the “how to’s” of an abiding walk with Christ, building a secure home, a committed marriage, and having happy, contented children, even in these turbulent times.
